Things to Do

Pinecrest’s ample green space offers so many outdoor activities for residents of all ages. From Coral Pine, a nine-acre park with a recreation center, to Flagler Grove park (with lit youth soccer fields), Pinecrest has the most space and parks of any other neighborhood in the Miami area. Of course, residents will always love the beach, but Veterans Wayside Park and its beautiful freshwater lake are the perfect places to spend the day with the family. Nearby is the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, world-famous for its rare tropical plants. 

Support local artists, artisans, and purveyors of local food and produce at the Pinecrest Farmers Market, held on Sundays from 9 AM until 2 PM near the Pinecrest Gardens downtown. Pinecrest Gardens is Pinecrest’s premier recreation with more amenities than one may be used to seeing at a local park. Be sure to visit the gardens for the Night of Lights throughout the holiday season. During the summer months, the shaded pathways along the gardens are the perfect way to beat the heat in the summer. Only a stone's throw away from the gardens downtown, you’ll find Zoo Miami, an excellent destination for all ages!

Schools

Students in Pinecrest will have a plethora of educational opportunities at their fingertips. A couple of the area’s most prestigious include: 

• Gulliver, a premier K-12 educational center and private school with innovative education and play for your little one.
• Pinecrest Elementary, a public school rated A++
